Lester
Thomas
Beall

Who Is He?

He became famous not because of his excellent work in corporate identity, editorial, or advertising, but because of his use of Mosaic and photomontage. He combined art, photography, topography, and painting to create unique European ideas for layout and forms. His work reflects the economic and social history of the time. He developed this unique medium out of his love for photography and the belief that having a reputation for images complemented

his love for drawing.

His Style

Lester was a visual designer who incorporated design principles of pure geometric and abstract forms. In 1937, he became the first American graphic designer to have a solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. European Avant-Garde, Constructivism, and Bauhaus aesthetics heavily influenced his designs. His designs focused on color, repetition, and symmetry. Bell's corporate identity is a comprehensive design that includes guidelines and rules for usage regarding Rural Electrification Administration (REA).

Conclude

Thomas Lester Beall is a famous graphic designer creating during the late 50s.
